Crushed Aleppo Chiles

A mouthwatering, moderately hot blend of Aleppo pepper flakes. Sprinkle on slices of pizza, salads, or in a bowl of chili. Around a 3-4 in overall heat level, they're a spicier and more flavorful substitute for crushed red pepper flakes, and a cross between cumin and cayenne in taste. You can keep Aleppo chile flakes out to have handy, although the flavor will last longer if refrigerated. Aleppo peppers are also known as Halaby peppers.
